2008 Field Trip Schedule

Here is our field trip schedule for 2008.  Some of these trips are contingent upon the number of members interested and details being worked out.  The list will be updated in subsequent newsletters and on this site.  But for now, here’s something to whet your appetite.

May 9, 10 & 11 - Multi-day trip to the Grand Junction Gem & Mineral Show. Rock hunting for barite, calcite and others minerals, weather permitting.

June 7 - Day trip to Wolf Creek Pass & Padera River area for geodes and fossils.

August 30 –Day trip to Silverton, CO to hunt for rocks and minerals.

September – Day trip to Del Norte, CO, to hunt for agate.

October 10, 11, 12 & 13 -   Multi-day trip to Delta UT to hunt for -Delta, Utah.

November 1 - Day trip to the "44 Store” near Chaco Canyon, NM to hunt for agate, jasper and petrified wood.
